Fitzgibbon Busway – Northern Busway Section 7
- Topographical and feature detail survey
- Boundary location and cadastral base plan
The existing rail corridor, located at Fitzgibbon, which contains the Caboolture to Brisbane train line has been identified by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) as a strategic section to accommodate the Northern Busway corridor. This corridor will ultimately service between the outer Brisbane suburbs of Kedron and Bracken Ridge.
AECOM was commissioned by TMR to provide initial planning and design concepts for the feasibility and budgeting of the busway project.
Jensen Bowers Group provided surveying services within the existing rail corridor and surrounding suburbs to further compliment data which was captured by aerial photogrammetry method. A comprehensive boundary location survey was performed to relate the topographical data to cadastral boundaries.
RTK GPS and total station instruments were used to collect the data. Jensen Bowers Group successfully worked closely with Queensland Rail project managers and safety officers for rail corridor site access.
