As the principal surveyors for the $2.9 billion renewal of the Brisbane Showgrounds precinct in Fortitude Valley Jensen Bowers Group was awarded the construction set-out of Australia’s largest commercial timber building, by Lendlease.
Pre-construction works of the $140 million project located at 25 King Street, Bowen Hills, required the reconfiguration and subdivision of the allotment, surrounding road and service infrastructure set-out, dilapidation survey of the surrounding streets and verges, and draft lease plans.
Jensen Bowers are proud to be the consultant surveyors on the project since its conception and have set-out and/or have titled the following projects located within the Brisbane Showgrounds precinct surrounding the new King Street development:
- The Green Apartments;
- The Yards;
- Rydges Hotel;
- The Royal Snack Bar;
- The Royal International Convention Centre;
- King Street Carpark;
- The Large Animal Pavilion;
- Woodchop Pavilion.
Traditionally buildings are made from concrete and steel and Jensen Bowers has worked closely with Lend Lease Project Managers, and their construction programme, to develop a methodology for the construction set-out of the engineered timber building.
At Jensen Bowers we understand all facets of the construction process and are considered pioneers in new technology and the thought leaders in practical solutions for the construction sector, as well as property development, infrastructure and mining sectors. We cater for large and/or complex infrastructure projects, and have the experienced qualified staff, innovative technology and procedures to meet your specific project requirements.
