PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Jensen Bowers was commissioned by the Department of Transport Main Roads Queensland (TMR) to perform professional surveying services for the strategic planning and detailed engineering design of the Gympie Arterial Road Overpass Project.

Working directly with the client Jensen Bowers proposed the existing pavement, bridge structures and features be located by 3D high definition laser scanning and string extraction methodology.

This methodology was accepted by TMR based upon reduced traffic management requirements and traffic disruptions, reduced safety incident considerations, faster data delivery time and reduced overall cost.
