Spirit, Gold Coast

Spirit is a proposed 89 storey residential tower being developed in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

Jensen Bowers has worked closely with Keller to provide set out, quality assurance and monitoring advice through 18 months of foundation works on site – enabling tower construction to progress in tandem with excavation works for the multiple basement levels below.

The processes developed and implemented during this time provide a benchmark for this type of structural works (top-down construction), which is anticipated to become more common practice on future large-scale projects.

Dilapidation surveys were carried out using laser scans of external roads, infrastructure and adjoining buildings to check for any disrepair or ground movements/external effects as a result of internal works.

Scanning and 3D graphical representation of the Cutting Rig Wheels were also undertaken to confirm drilling configurations were as per design.
