Keller and Mainland Civil engaged Jensen Bowers as the principle surveyor for the foundation set-out component in the construction of Spirit, Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

Spirit, developed by Forise Holdings, will be Australia’s tallest residential apartment building rising 89 storeys and an astonishing 297m in height.

The project is a highly complex building construction project. 140 columns are being plunged, prior to excavation, to a depth of 60m below natural surface at an approximate cost of $44 Million. The total cost of the project is estimated at $1.2 billion.

Jensen Bowers’ surveyors are accurately positioning each 30-tonne pre-cast column, monitoring the surrounding buildings and roads, and conducting 3D High Definition Scans of the custom-made Bauer Cutter Machine.

Interestingly this isn’t the first time Jensen Bowers have visited the site. Dating back to 1917, Jensen Bowers company founder, Thor Jensen, subdivided and subsequently named Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.
