History

TH Jensen Surveyors was founded by Thor Helm Jensen in 1908.  Amongst his many professional accomplishments, Thor Jensen was credited with naming “Surfer’s Paradise” from an estate he owned and developed in the area previously known as Harper’s Wharf.  The allotments ranged in size from quarter acre to half acre and sold for 15 pounds to 45 pounds.

In the 1920’s the practice expanded to offer engineering services to become a truly multi-disciplinary consultancy. The multi-disciplinary approach has remained a key feature of the business which now focusses on providing professional services in Surveying and Development Advisory.

Jensen Bowers’ clients range from small investors to large multi-nationals and publicly listed companies.  Whilst we have a strong association with all sectors of the property development industry, in recent times Jensen Bowers has focussed more on the burgeoning infrastructure and resource sectors.

After more than 100 years Jensen Bowers is proud of its unique place in Australia’s development industry and the current day achievements of the firm and its people.
