Economic Development Queensland (EDQ – formally the Urban Land Development Authority) was recently recognised as the national winner in the affordable development category at the UDIA National Congress in Melbourne. The project has quickly become a model residential community that has redefined the standard for affordable small lot residential development in regional Queensland. The HillClose Development has utilised small allotments, small dwellings and affordable building materials and techniques to deliver a vibrant residential community.

Jensen Bowers is proud member of the key consultant team and would like to congratulate EDQ and everyone that contributed to this successful award winning development.

Jensen Bowers’ town planning team has received a stirring commendation for its services and contribution toward the award winning residential development HillClose by the Urban Land and Development Authority (ULDA). The project took out the ‘Affordable Housing’ category at the recent Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (QLD) Awards for Excellence.

JB actively worked with the UDLA and Gladstone Regional Council to successfully negotiate development approvals necessary for the project to proceed; a challenging task given the small lot master planned community concept was new to the Gladstone region.

Well done to both Gemma Greenhalgh and Damian Reardon from JB for their valued contributions and the UDLA for their award winning project!
